THIS IS TASMANIA!
It is known for it's pristine wilderness
and natural beauty.

I know our roads are windy and I love it,
and I know Tassie is only a small place but I think someone may have got the map scale
wrong! It is 65Km or 40 minutes from Scottsdale to Launceston (pronounced 'Lonseston'...
not Lawnseston for goodness sake *smiles*) and from Scottsdale to Burnie it is 250Km (2.5
hours).
Tasmania has about half a million people and it is about 1 hour flying time from mainland
Australia.
It has both the longest cave in Australia (17,000m.) and the deepest (373m.)
Tasmania is the most mountainous State. The highest mountain being Mt. Ossa at just 1617m.
Tasmania has a coastline length of 3200Km. The total area is 67,800 sq.Km which is only
0.88% of Australia's area.
The lowest ever temperature was minus13.0degrees C. in 1981
Tasmania is the home of the Tasmanian Devil and the now thought to be extinct
Tasmanian Tiger, plus many other unique fauna and flora.
Hmmmm....I found out things I should have know seeing I live here!!
Oh, and yes, our water is this blue and our national parks sure are this green.
*Smiles*
